October Events in Milton

The month of October is turning into a busy month.  Start making your plans to be in Milton!

October 1st:

The Milton Area Youth Center is holding a rummage sale fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Milton College Main Hall.  Donations and volunteers are needed.  Call 608-436-3637.  Click on the photo of the flyer to the right for more information.


The Milton House will be hosting Heritage Day, a FREE family event, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The 1st Brigade Band will be performing Civil War band music at 1 p.m.  Woodcarvers, wheelwright, spinners, weavers, bucksinners, food and more!  Tours of the Milton House will also be available all day at regular price.  Click on the photo to the left for more information.
October 15th:

The Milton Area Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism (MACCIT) will be hosting the Milton Malt & Hops Fest, a beer and wine tasting event, on October 15th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Miller Distribution Warehouse located in Milton at 616 Gateway Drive.  Tickets are $25 per person in advance or $30 per person at the door.  Click on the photo to the left for more information.

October 22nd:

The Goodrich Square Steering Committee will be hosting the Dash for the Splash on October 22nd to benefit the Goodrich Square Splash Park.  A 1-mile Fun Run/Walk will start at 8:15 a.m. followed by a 5K at 9:00 a.m.  The event will start and end near South Goodrich Park where the splash park will be located.  The cost is $15 for one person, $25 for two people, or $40 for a family.  Click on the photo to the left for more information.

The Parks & Recreation Commission will be hosting their annual Crossridge Park Seed Pick on October 22nd at 10 a.m.  The prairie seed that is picked at Crossridge Park will be used in certain areas of the City for beautification and to reduce mowing costs.  Click on the photo to the left for more information.
