Looking for free eBooks and audiobooks?
Our library is a member of a statewide consortium that offers OverDrive, a digital download center that contains thousands of eBooks, audiobooks, music, and videos - all for free! Milton Public Library, along with the Arrowhead Library System, is also participating in a statewide program to purchase $1 million in new downloadable content in 2012. This service can be used at home or wherever you have access to the internet and there are never any late fees!

Antique Appraisal Event, Monday, January 30 from 5-8 p.m.
Direct from Antiques Roadshow, Appraiser Mark Moran will be here to appraise items. Call for details. Everyone is welcome to participate or just come and watch!

Winter Read Kick Off Day for Kids and Adults - Monday, January 23
If you like to read, you’ll love our Winter Reading program. The rules are simple: read a book and enter to win one of many great prize baskets. Stop by on January 23 for the Winter Read Kick-off and enjoy popcorn, games, and prizes!

Milton’s Teens’ Top Ten Favorite Books
Milton youth can vote their favorite novel into a top spot! Milton’s Teens’ Top Ten will showcase the top ten young adult novels according to Milton’s teen readers. A list of the nominees is available now and voting will begin in February.

Preschool Storytime - Tuesdays at 10:30 am.
For children 3-6 years old. Storytimes last 30 minutes and no prior sign-up is required.

After-School Anime, Tuesday, January 17, at 4 p.m.
The Library’s monthly showing of an anime movie for tweens and teens 11-17. Snacks will be provided. Call the library for the movie title.

All Day Craft-Make a Mask! - Thursday, January 19
The library will provide all materials and no registration is required.

No School Lego Build Day - Friday, January 20 from 2-3 p.m.
Create your own masterpiece! Legos will be provided. No personal Legos please!

Bento Box Workshop, Friday, January 20 from 2-4 p.m.
Create a traditional Japanese-style lunchbox . For ages 11-17. Registration is required.

Coming in February:

Insect Ambassadors - Saturday, February 4 at 1 p.m.
The Insect Ambassadors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison will present live and preserved arthropods to teach members of the audience about insects, where they live, how they survive and the positive things they do for our environment.

Couponing 101 Workshop - February 8 from 6:30-8 p.m.
Attend a free class to learn about: finding and organizing coupons, maximizing their value, planning shopping trips, and much more!

Dianne Moller presentation - Date TBA
Dianne will talk about her experience as the United States' representative at the 2011 International Falconry Festival in Abu Dhabi.
