Below is a press release from Milton Police Lieutenant John Conger about an upcoming event that will benefit the Crime Prevention Fund.
On May 11, 2012 we will be hosting a Jail and Bail event to benefit our Crime Prevention Fund. It will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Arrest “warrants” are available for purchase in our office, 120 Parkview Drive, for $15.00. If you would like somebody “arrested” for this cause, we ask that you stop in and fill out the warrant. Those “arrested” will be released immediately, once they have raised $50.00 in pledges. If by 30 minutes they have raised $25.00, they will then have earned their release. If they are unable to raise that amount, they will be held in our custody for one hour at the City of Milton Police Department.
Our Citizens Academy participants will also be on hand for interactive training in the areas of fingerprinting and jail processing.
Officers will only be sent to “arrest” those that live within the city limits of Milton.
