Help Design the Milton Public Library Expansion

Here is a message from the Milton Public Library.

As you may already know, it is likely that the Milton Public Library will be expanding to occupy the entire Shaw Municipal Building.

The Library Board and staff are excited to announce that FEH Associates, an architectural and engineering firm, has been hired to develop conceptual plans for the library's expansion. We want to thank the Milton Public Library Foundation for providing the funds for the conceptual plan project.

As a kickoff to this effort, the Milton Public Library is hosting an interactive public planning/design workshop for all community members on Thursday and Friday, August 22 and 23. The public is invited to attend either day, any time between 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. to share ideas for the future library layout.

This is an important part of the design process in which the library’s architect, FEH Associates, will be drawing, presenting, and making preliminary outlines of how the conceptual plan may look based on the input of those attending.

Ideas generated by the public, library board and staff will then be incorporated into the preliminary design drawings. This event should be lots of fun as the community designs the expanded library!
