Selling Bricks for Veterans Memorial at Dave's Ace Hardware

Representatives from the Parks & Recreation Commission will be selling memorial bricks for the Milton Area Veterans Memorial at Veterans Park at Dave’s Ace Hardware on Saturday, January 18th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The commission is hopeful that this memorial could be completed by July 4, 2014 if the necessary funds are raised in time.

The prices for the memorial bricks are as follows:
  • 8x8 Brick - $75
  • 16x8 Brick - $125
  • 16x16 Brick - $225
Order forms for bricks are also available at Bank of Milton (323 Parkview Drive), Dave’s Ace Hardware (430 S. John Paul Road), First Community Bank (202 Merchant Row), Milton City Hall (430 E. High Street), and on the City of Milton website (www.milton-wi.gov/VeteransMemorial).

The commission also has a very limited number of benches still available to purchase at $2,500 each. Benches have already been sold to Air Products, Bank of Milton, First Community Bank, American Legion Post 367, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9403 Becker-Godfrey Post.

The Parks & Recreation Commission also thanks four local businesses that have committed to in-kind donations to the Milton Area Veterans Memorial:

  • Frank Brothers – Materials (gravel, fill, etc.)
  • Ivan Rice & Sons – Concrete
