American Legion Post 367 Donates to Purple Heart Monument and Gold Star Families Monument

American Legion Post 367 donated $4,600 to the Purple Heart Monument and $1,000 to the Gold Star Families Monument, both of which will be installed at the Milton Area Veterans Memorial this spring.  The Parks & Recreation Commission was presented with the check at their January 19, 2015 meeting.

The Purple Heart Monument will be fully paid for through this donation from American Legion Post 367 and another donation from a localresident.  The Parks & Recreation Commission and additional volunteers are working on raising additional funds for the Gold Star Families Monument.  Anyone who donates $250 or more will have their name engraved on the monument.  If you are interested in donating, please contact City Hall at (608) 868-6900.

The Parks & Recreation Commission is also still accepting order forms for bricks at the Milton Area Veterans Memorial.  The forms are available at City Hall, 710 S. Janesville Street, and online at www.milton-wi.gov/VeteransMemorial.
