The Gathering Place will be showing the ground-breaking film 16:49:00 on Tuesday, December 7th at 6:00 pm.
16:49:00 is about the challenges that homeless teens face. The movie features honest, candid interviews with three Beloit Memorial High School students, including heart-felt accounts of other unaccompanied youth in our area, that reveal the struggle homeless students face at the high school level. Insight from both educational and community leaders shed light on how we may be a part of the solution.
Robin Stuht, the producer for the documentary, said, "The sixteen hours and forty-nine minutes between school ending one day, and starting the next, for some kids, are the longest hours of their entire lives."
16:49:00 project leaders will lead a brief informational Q&A session after the viewing.
The viewing is free and open to the public.
