Milton Area Veterans Memorial in Veterans Park

The City of Milton Parks & Recreation Commission is currently working to raise funds to construct the Milton Area Veterans Memorial in Veterans Park, located on the corner of Hilltop Drive and High Street. The commission is hopeful that this project could be completed by July 4, 2014 if the necessary funds are raised in time.

The Parks & Recreation Commission is selling commemorative memorial bricks at the following prices:
  • 8x8 Brick - $75
  • 16x8 Brick - $125
  • 16x16 Brick - $225
Order forms for bricks are available at Bank of Milton (323 Parkview Drive), Dave’s Ace Hardware (430 S. John Paul Road), First Community Bank (202 Merchant Row), Milton City Hall (430 E. High Street), and on the City of Milton website (www.milton-wi.gov/VeteransMemorial).

The commission also has a limited number of benches available to purchase at $2,500 each. Four benches have already been sold to Bank of Milton, First Community Bank, American Legion Post 367, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9403 Becker-Godfrey Post.

The Parks & Recreation Commission also thanks three local businesses that have committed to in-kind donations to the Milton Area Veterans Memorial:
  • McKnight Excavating – Excavation work
  • Frank Brothers – Materials (gravel, fill, etc.)
  • Ivan Rice & Sons – Concrete
