Press Release - Stolen Firearm Recovered


Below is a recent press release from Milton Police Lieutenant John Conger.



This morning at approximately 11:30am our agency recovered the .45 caliber handgun that had recently been stolen out of an unlocked motor vehicle in our City. The weapon was recovered as the result of a search at a residence in Harmony Township. Arrested in connection with the recovery was a 16 year old male Milton High School student on a charge of Receiving Stolen Property.

The multiple thefts from vehicles that have been reported to our agency are still under investigation.

Individuals that come forward with information that leads to the arrest of those responsible for these crimes are eligible for a cash reward through Janesville Area Crimestoppers.
