Press Release - MPD Seeking Public's Help in Locating Subject

The City of Milton Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a subject. On Saturday, October 4th, 2014, at approximately 1:08 am, a robbery by threat of force occurred at the Junction Pub located on Merchant Row in Milton, Wisconsin. The male in the photo, Michael L. Ranum, 28 years old, is wanted for questioning in regard to this offense. Ranum is described as a white male, 5’10”, 180 lbs., bald, brown eyes, with tattoos.

Ranum is also currently wanted for a parole violation for a robbery that occurred in 2007. He is known to frequent the Janesville and Milton areas. 

During the robbery at the Junction Pub, the subject demanded a bottle of liquor from the bartender and threatened harm to the bartender if he did not receive the alcohol. The subject, along with a female companion, had been involved in an altercation with other patrons moments before the robbery. The subject, along with the female, fled out the back door as police were called to the scene.
