Milton College Football Field Sign in Place

The final sign in a series of seven describing significant buildings and locations in the Milton College Historic District is now in place thanks to a grant from the Milton Fund.  Above is a photo of the last sign that was installed.

The Historic Preservation Commission was awarded a grant previously from another organization that covered the cost of six signs. The grant from the Milton Fund allowed the Historic Preservation Commission to purchase the final sign that commemorates the location of the former football field for the College. The overall goal for the project is to educate pedestrians in the Milton College Historic District about the history of Milton College and the role that it played in building the Milton community.

Take a stroll around the Milton College Historic District and learn more about the history of the college soon.
