Rock County Clean Sweep will take place in Milton at the Public Works Facility, 150 Northside Drive, on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be another collection on April 27, 2013 at the City of Beloit Public Works, 2351 Springbrook Court, Beloit, WI. Late this summer there will also be one in Clinton on August 23rd and another in Janesville on August 24th.
The purpose of the Clean Sweep is to collect hazardous waste like mercury, pesticides, solvents, old fuel, pool chemicals, caustics, acids, and more! The Clean Sweep is available to Rock County residents only.
Please do NOT bring: high pressure cylinders, Freon gases, infectious and biological wastes, explosives (detonators, blasting caps), radioactive chemicals and devices, ammunition, or electronics. Milton residents are allowed to put electronics at the curb on the third collection day of each month for Johns Disposal to collect.
