City of Milton Announces Commitment to Community Recognition Dinner

Mayor Frazier and the City of Milton Common Council are proud to announce the revival of an old tradition. On February 20th the City will hold the Commitment to Community Recognition Dinner to honor just a few of the many who have worked so diligently to make and to keep our community strong. The event is being held at The Gathering Place, and will start at 6 p.m. and individual tickets are $25 or $45 for a couple.

The beauty of Milton is found in the sum of the efforts of thousands of friends and neighbors, teachers and business people, public employees and volunteers. Far too often those efforts go unrecognized, although they are always appreciated. While very few do what they do to make this community strong because they believe they will be recognized for it, the City believes those efforts are key to the high quality of life in Milton and are worthy of such acknowledgement. The following awards will be presented at the event:
  • Citizen of the Year
  • Commitment to Outstanding Community Service
  • Kid of the Year
  • City of Milton Employee of the Year
  • Commitment to Kids Award
  • Police Officer of the Year
  • Firefighter of the Year
Tickets for the Commitment to Community Recognition Dinner are available for sale at Milton City Hall, 430 E. High Street. Individual tickets are $25 or $45 for a couple. The evening is slated to begin at 6:00 pm with a cash bar and dinner to begin at 6:30 pm with the ceremony to follow dinner. The event features a buffet dinner with Beef Stroganoff and Baked Herb Chicken. There are only 130 tickets available as seating is limited for this honoring event.
